Description

The Banana Pi OpenWrt One Router is a powerful, smart Wi-Fi router based on the MediaTek MT7981B processor. With 1 GB of DDR4 RAM and dual Gigabit Ethernet (2.5 GbE and 1 GbE RJ45 ports), it offers high network speeds and reliable connections for home use. The router supports dual-band Wi-Fi 6 (802.11ax) with 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz frequencies, enabling fast and stable wireless connections.

The Banana Pi OpenWrt One is compatible with the Banana Pi BPI-R4 case design and features a MikroBUS socket for expansion with additional modules. Three MMCX connectors are available for antennas, allowing for flexible connection options. The device also has a USB 2.0 Type-A host port and a USB-C port, which provides power (12V USB-PD, optionally up to 15V) and debugging via UART.

Key features of the router include a robust storage solution with 128 MB SPI NAND flash and 4 MB SPI NOR flash, making the board virtually unbrickable. It also features an M.2 2242/2230 slot for NVMe SSDs, ideal for rapid storage expansion. The integrated real-time clock (RTC) chip with battery compartment ensures accurate timekeeping even during power outages.

The router is ideal for home networks and small offices that want to use open-source firmware. It supports numerous network technologies and offers extensive control and debugging options via USB-C and JTAG interfaces. The Banana Pi OpenWrt One is CE certified and complies with international standards such as FCC, EC, and RoHS.
